Das Bluetooth Mate wurde speziell zum Anschluss an die Arduino Pro (mini) und das Lilypad entwickelt. Es passt direkt an den Programmieraschluss der Boards und man so relativ einfach ein Bluetooth fähiges Arduino.

Die Modul ist eine Bluetooth - Sereill Bridge, die Daten können mit einer Geschwindikeit von 9600bps - 115200bps übertragen werden. Das Modul kann mit einer Spannung von 3,3-6V  versorgt werden, die Ein- und Ausgänge sind auch von 3,3 - 6V tollerant.
